The Intern will work under the supervision of experienced colleagues to carry out a work assignment and will report to the Technical Assessment & Monitoring Directorate. More generally, the incumbent provides support for the activity and, more particularly, is responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare background analysis and documents to advance the CEB work on role of school design and cost implication on effective learning of students
  • Help with info gathering to conduct some in depth monitoring reviews of CEB financed projects in education
  • Data analysis including framing impact indicators on financing social and affordable housing in Western Europe
  • Help with info gathering to conduct some in depth monitoring reviews of CEB financed projects in social housing


• Have, at least, completed an undergraduate degree (from university or other accredited institution) in economics, architect with good analytical skills, public policy, education specialist

Linguistic skills:
• Have perfect command of written and spoken English, knowledge of French, the other Bank's official language, would be an asset.

Employment Conditions

• Be less than 28 years
• Be a national of one of CEB member states
• Have completed studies less than two years previously

Internships at the CEB are intended to give interns a general overview of the CEB's objectives and activities.

The internship will be offered for a period ranging from 3 months to 6 months, with a possibility for further extension up to a maximum of 9 months depending on business needs.
Work is undertaken at CEB offices in Paris. A starting date will apply to you and will be confirmed at the time of the offer.

Admission to an internship does not confer on the intern the status of a CEB staff member, nor does it confer any entitlement to subsequent appointment on a permanent or temporary basis.
CEB evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.

lnterns at the CEB are paid a flat-rate allowance as an indemnity and support towards living costs and public transportation.
