The Intern will work under the supervision of experienced colleagues to carry out a work assignment and will report to the Evaluation Department. More generally, the incumbent provides support for the activity and, more particularly, will be expected to assure the following tasks:


  • Support the evaluation team in collecting and analyzing data required for its evaluations, including data mining, quantitative and qualitative analysis (desk research, interviews), liaising with stakeholders and other departments
  • Be proactive to detect and flag pertinent issues, provide feedback and seek to identify areas of improvement in the approach and tools deployed by the team in undertaking its evaluation work
  • Contribute ideas and expertise on ad-hoc tasks for the team
  • Assist in logistics and administrative tasks related to meetings, presentations, coordination events organized by the department
  • Participate in missions if needed


• Have, at least, completed an undergraduate degree (from university or other accredited institution) in economics, public management or international affairs, or analysis and evaluation of public policy
• Knowledge of the European political and economic context

Linguistic skills:
• Have perfect command of both written and spoken English, knowledge of French, the other Bank's official language, would be an asset

Professional skills:
• Good command of basic statistical analysis
• Previous internship or job experience in a multinational environment would be a strong asset
• Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills

Employment Conditions

• Be less than 28 years
• Be a national of one of CEB member states
• Have completed studies less than two years previously

Internships at the CEB are intended to give interns a general overview of the CEB's objectives and activities.

The internship will be offered for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months, with a possibility for further extension up to a maximum of 9 months depending on business needs.
Work is undertaken at CEB offices in Paris. A starting date will apply to you and will be confirmed at the time of the offer.

Admission to an internship does not confer on the intern the status of a CEB staff member, nor does it confer any entitlement to subsequent appointment on a permanent or temporary basis.
CEB evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, relevance of academic studies and level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.

lnterns at the CEB are paid a flat-rate allowance as an indemnity and support towards living costs and public transportation.
